Meet Dr. Julie Quinn Nies

Dr. Julie Quinn Nies was born and raised in Dover, Delaware and, as the only “Quinn kid” to follow her father’s career choice, returned to join him in practice in July 2010.  Dr. Julie received a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and, like her father, graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School.  After a hospital residency in Wilmington, Delaware, Dr. Julie continued to Indianapolis.  Here she completed her pediatric dental residency and received a Master’s of Science in Dentistry.  At Indiana University’s Riley Hospital, Dr. Julie served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Ralph E. McDonald Scholar Award for academic achievement.

Dr. Julie Quinn Nies is a board certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.  She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Delaware State Dental Society, and the Kent and Sussex Dental Society.

Dr. Julie’s father, Dr. Richard Quinn, retired in May 2016 after providing exceptional pediatric dental care for nearly forty years. Dr. Julie is honored to carry on his legacy at Quinn Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Julie lives in Wyoming, Delaware with her husband, Dr. Michael Nies, DDS and their four children. As a working mother of four, free time is hard to come by, however, Dr. Julie enjoys spending time kickboxing, indoor cycling, reading, baking (cookies, cakes and bread- oh my!), watching Harry Potter marathons, cheering for the Baltimore Ravens and all things Star Wars.

Our Pediatric Dentistry Services

Preventive

Dentistry

Restorative

Dentistry

Prevention is the key to good oral hygiene! At Quinn Pediatric Dentistry, we strive to provide a fun, educational environment to set your child up for a lifetime of healthy habits. We recommend early dental visits to help families understand how diet, brushing and flossing all contribute to good oral health.

If signs of dental decay are noted, we are committed to discussing all options and answering all questions prior to treatment. We have multiple options available, including ways to stop or slow the progression of the decay for smaller cavities. In the event a filling or crown is recommended, we offer tooth colored fillings, silver and white crowns.

EMERGENCY

TREATMENT

While our goal is to prevent dental emergencies, we understand that the need for urgent dental care is sometimes necessary and can be a stressful experience for both parents and children. We strive to handle dental emergencies promptly and with compassion.
